At Step Forward we had a get together at the end of the year to say thanks to our team, volunteers and supporters. We wanted to acknowledge that they had all helped us get through what was on one hand an extremely tough year but also a year that bought us accolades and opportunities.

During our get together people were able to put wishes for Step Forward for 2012 on our Christmas tree. Coming back in the New Year to read these positive messages has proved a real inspiration for us to grow and evolve as an organisation.

Many of our messages talked about us getting more funding, sustaining services, growing and making more happy clients. One of our favourite messages simply said “Gold for SF in 2012!” That sums up things for us. We want to be the best organisation we can be and provide the best possible service to young people who need our support.

When making New Year resolutions or goals for your future it is useful to think about some of the smaller things that you can achieve as well as the big dreams and aspirations. Sometimes the tiniest things can make the biggest differences in our lives and for those around us. Remember all the small steps forward you take are important and can help you to reach your goal.
