Ian made the evening even more exciting for those attending by bringing along Gandalf’s hat, staff and sword, giving people the chance to have their photo taken with these money-can’t-buy items!

Our charity champions Genesis Cinema hosted the event which included Q&A’s before two screenings of “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey”. In the largest screen, film critic Danny Leigh helped us out by facilitating an amusing and insightful Q&A before Ian moved on to the intimate setting in Studio 5 for the VIPs who successfully bid for tickets during our online auction.

We were absolutely thrilled to be able to put on such an exciting and unique event for fans of The Hobbit. Not only did we raise much needed funds, but we made some new friends along the way.

Thanks to everyone who attended, and those behind the scenes who helped us raise over £6,000 on the night. We have had some really positive and heart-warming feedback. Your support will help us to change young lives by providing essential support services in the coming years.

Check out the slideshow below to get a taste of the evening. Plus there are lots more photos from the night on our facebook page – including the shots of our VIP guests with Ian in Screen 5. Please feel free to take a look, tag yourself and share with others.

We would also to love to hear about your experience of the night and see some of your photos or mementos from the event.

We are looking forward to our journey with you into 2013 which I know will be full of amazing potential!
